Sasha's mobility is increasing as her 3rd month is drawing to completion. While lying in bed, she's now able to kick her way up to the headboard and bang her head into it. She still doesn't realize that she's done this to herself, so cries out in protest.

Amita Identity Confirmation

Alas our dear Amita appears to be an imposter. Denied once again a drivers license and even an identity card, we are struggling to confirm that Amita is even Sasha's mom! All this pertains back to the detectives that came searching for Amita at Shamit's house last year. Jen, ever the smooth lawyer and protective of dear Amita, convinced them that no such person had ever been there. Jen assumed that they were pursuing our Amita for some collection of traffic misdemeanors. But the reality was that they were just trying to confirm her identity, and the denials only sowed more confusion.

And why such confusion. Evidently -- there is an evil twin to our Amita Kachru -- born in 1970, and in possession of many material goods including boats and planes. The catch? Multiple bankruptcies in any number of states. Somehow, officials have come to believe that our errant Amita Kachru is this Amita Kachru. Thus, when Amita appeared last at the DMV, they confiscated her sole remaining piece of identification (her California ID card -- with Shamit's address), leaving her in a state of limbo which she is still (under much protest) attempting to sort out.

Evidently, its not even clear that this other "bad" Amita Kachru exists -- but authorities are hot onto the case.

Even presenting a birth certificate and her graduation diploma has been insufficient to convince the authorities. How much longer before we can allay Sasha's concerns!

No, Amita's not pregnant again. This was just a shot of motor mom during her late pregnancy days and a romp with Fernando on the motor bike. She just couldn't resist and we'll see if her daughter has the same spirit of adventure.

Babes is feeling much better today and woke up all smiles, as you can see! She has been conducting a wee discourse on the disappointments of presidential politics this evening, but maintained her equanimity and dignity, as per usual. She is very much looking forward to seeing you all very soon!

Much the Happier

Sasha is much the happier today. Yesterday she suffered the indignity of receiving four (4!) shots. She had been so happy right up to the dastardly deeds. Mother did her best to make it all better but there were tears aplenty. All is forgiven and forgotten now it seems.
